World Book Day

On Friday 6th March 2015 Catshill Middle School took part in World Book Day. Pupils in years 5 and 6 were asked to dress up as a character from their favourite book. Pupils in years 7 and 8 were asked to dress as a Theatrical Shakespearian character or even the Bard himself as this linked in with English and Drama lessons in school, or they could dress all in black to represent being a 'Stage hand'.

Well done to everyone (staff and pupils) who took part in dressing up as a book character on the day. We held a special assembly where winners from each class received a chocolate bar. Overall winners were Kieran Hopley and Ben Harvey, both in year 5, who won a £5.00 book token each.

Thank you for supporting this special day: we raised a total of £188.51 to purchase new library books.
