Women Inspiring Women
An account by Chloe O'Neill and Chloe Edwards
'On Friday 13th February 2015, the year 7 and year 8 girls had a session in the hall without the boys. This was part of our 'Women Inspiring Women' programme. All pupils were invited to wear something red and contribute £1 in 10p pieces to support The Wildhearts Charity.
This charity helps poor women set up their own businesses around the world. This day was organised to help this charity raise more money and awareness.
We had different activities to complete like learning how to complete a hand massage and solve Agony Aunt problems.
We used the 10ps to make a coin art picture of a rose. With all the activities we did, all of the girls understood more about what happens all around the world to poor children. All together we had a successful day and raised a lot of money for Wildhearts.'
