Single Pringle Challenge
Students in STEM group this year were challenged to create packaging to support and protect a pringle crisp through the Royal Mail service. They studied crumple zones and Royal Mail handling and were given a strict set of instructions to follow to ensure that their parcel could be delivered. Their parcels, including their crisps safely nestled inside, were then posted at a Post office and delivered back to school. Two days later the parcels arrived, and much to our surprise two out of three of the parcels arrived back with fully intact crisps.
The winning team was decided by Mrs Rathbone after the teams had written articles to support their design and they won a tub of pringles each for their effort.
