Fruit Poppies Exhibited on the Tower of London Website
As an act of remembrance, 7DT2 created 'Fruit Poppies' as part of their food technology lesson when making fruit salad. The pupils selected, creatively cut and arranged their fruit to look like poppies in commemoration of those who lost their lives in the First World War and subsequent acts of conflict.
Photographs of our fruit poppies were submitted to the Tower of London, Why remember? Schools campaign and were subsequently exhibited on the Tower of London website. This in itself is a great honour and we are thrilled that our poppies were selected.
So well done to all those pupils, who adapted their fruit salad and commemorated the bravery of the thousands of soldiers lost.
