Year 6 Visit to Bonterre Farm
During September, as part of their DT course, Year 6 visited a local farm to understand how the crops are grown and what food products they could be made into. The pupils made soup using the produce we brought back.
Here are a few words from one of the pupils' who went on the visit:
'Going to the farm was really interesting. I enjoyed tasting the apples especially the Bramley's. It was also fun building the scarecrows and picking the Queen Cox and other apples. Seeing all the pumpkins was cool and picking the strawberries was fun. I can't wait to do the cooking with the produce that Mrs Pask brought back from the farm.'
